Election Data and Code Archive

This archive contains the data and code necessary for replicating all results presented in the article:

Within each subdirectory, there are additional 'README' files which provide further descriptions and instructions for the data and code.

Downloading

Since the output from the runs can be quite large, we provide bundles with (*.all.*) and without code/output (*.data.*). Everything contained in a *.data.* file is also contained in a *.all.* file.

The archive bundles are provided in two formats (tgz and zip). A detailed listing of all files in each bundle are available: Manifest.zip.txt.

Additional Resources:

To run the code you will need to obtain the freely available R statistical analysis package. This code was designed to work with version 1.2.2 (2001-02-26). The replication version of the code is not guaranteed to work with the latest versions. In fact, there is a known issue with the 1.4.1 release. The R software may be obtained from:

and in some cases also obtain the R version of GENetic Optimization Using Derivatives (RGENOUD) package, available from

http://sekhon.berkeley.edu/rgenoud/
